The Indiana Homesteading Conference has a mission to support people in obtaining a more sustainable lifestyle and to promote homesteading skills for people at all levels of interest and skill.

We are hosting our 2nd Annual event at the Marion County 4H Fairgrounds on Saturday October 21st and Sunday October 22nd.

We want every ticket holder in attendance to walk away with a "can do" attitude in pursuing their dreams of self sufficiency.  We are offering speaking sessions on a large variety of homesteading topics ranging from basic skills to advanced homesteading practices.

  • Learn from prominent figures in the Homesteading Community like Keynote Speaker Joel Salatin, The Lunatic Farmer himself!
  • Access hands on workshops to sharpen and hone your homesteading skills from experienced and helpful teachers
  • Enjoy our Hog Roast and Hootenanny on Saturday Evening following the conference. *Ticketed Event*  The meal will be supplied by The Overgrown Pasture and family friendly music provided by a live band will serenade you as you relax and build community with fellow homesteaders and newfound friends!
  • Browse the Vendor Hall with handmade wares, useful homesteading products, and much much more!
  • Grab a snack from the variety of Food Trucks that will be there!
  • Live animals and demonstrations for our ticket holders enjoyment!
  • We are offering more for kidsthis year: Jr Homesteaders, Petting Zoo, Face Painting, etc

Buy Your Tickets While You Can!   You DO NOT Want To Miss Out On This Event!

TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE. Tickets will not be available at the gate. 

Please arrive early to accommodate for checking everyone in, getting your conference bags, finding your way, etc. Check-in starts at 7:30 AM each day. Cars will be checked in at the Grounds Entry Gate 1, and there will be parking attendants to help direct everyone.  There are 4 gates, but it should be evident which gate you need, due to parking, security, and check-in staff being present.

 

WRISTABANDS:

Each ticketed attendee will be given wristbands to signify different ticket types, and they will be required to keep their wristbands on throughout their time at the conference. 

START TIME:

The 1st session starts at 9AM each day, but the vendor booths and snack bar will be open when check-in starts at 7:30AM. 

SECURITY:

There will be security onsite throughout the event. There will be overnight RV Camping Friday and Saturday night. Security will be available throughout. 

RV CAMPING:

RV CAMPING spots are available for rent through the fairgrounds office. Go to the RV/Camping page on our website for all of the information you need.

ENTRANCE:

The over 120 acre fairgrounds is fully fenced, so entry can only take place at Gate 4, which will be clearly marked with the Fairgrounds Sign and attended by check-in and parking crew.

After parking, your electronic ticket will be scanned and you will stop at the checkin building/booth to pick up your color coded wrist band that coordinate with your ticket types, your free conference bag with some goodies and all of the info you need. You will have an easy-to-understand map, clear information about when and where all of the speaker breakout sessions will be, and a card with info on our regional community connect breakouts, so you can plan out your day of learning, connection, and fun. Speaker schedules are also posted on our website for your reference.

VENDORS:

Vendors will be required to enter another gate, but will be informed of those details through regular communication with our staff. 

HOTELS:
